How does lip augmentation proceed, and what filler material is used?
Aliaxin® hyaluronic acid, which is specially designed for lip application, is applied to the lips. In contrast to other hyaluronic acid-based filler materials, the formation of swellings and nodules is minimised. Your lips will be soft, delicate and natural.
What does the procedure involve?
Before the procedure, you need to attend a free consultation, during which we shall agree on the requirements of the resulting lip effect. The application of the gel to the lips is almost pain-free. Before the procedure, an anaesthetic cream is applied to the lips to ensure they are numb. Immediately following application, your lips will be very slightly swollen. This swelling will mostly appear in the morning, and will reduce over a two-week period.
Is the resulting effect permanent?
The result is immediately apparent and will last for at least 8 to 12 months. Repeated applications will prolong the effect further – to up to two years.
Are there any restrictions following the procedure?
In the first days following the application (approx. 7 days) it is not recommended that you visit saunas or tanning beds. It is also recommended that you avoid excessive physical activities.
Who cannot undergo the procedure?
1. Clients with acute bacterial or viral infections. If this is the case, you should postpone the procedure until you are fully recovered.
